For the first time in years we offered a day of only snow mini and itty bitty sessions! Coleman and I were so excited to get to work with our amazing clients, some new and some returning but all friends, to capture their beauty along with the beauty of our state gem, Tahoma (Mt. Rainier).
We watched forecasts all week with crossed fingers and bated breath hoping that the early season forecasts would cooperate with us, and were rewarded when we saw that the day of the sessions would be partly cloudy with some snow flurries! Excitedly we reached out to everyone and let them know we were a go for the next day.
Early in the morning, we set out to find the perfect spot that had everything we wanted, beautiful light, a view of the mountain, and just remote enough that we could bring everyone there and have a fun, snowy session without too many distractions from other people enjoying the views. After scouting out a few pre-determined areas, we snowshoed to an area that we knew was the perfect spot, it had everything on our list and more!
We made a path of compact snow using our snowshoes and got our angles and ideas set up as we awaited our first families. All of our clients were incredible and seemed to have a great time taking a little adventure up to their session location. After a full day of meeting the most amazing people, we did two sunset sessions that had some gorgeous tones and trekked back down to the car to begin the fun of going through all the images we took and sharing them with the waiting families, couples and expectant parents!
